yeh the 335xi ... ( 3 months ago by zzzafar)
yeh the 335xi sounds good to, my favorite bmw's are still the 135i and x6 lol i don't know why everyone hates the x6 it seems cool to me, i was set on getting the 135i actually two weeks ago but then when i thought about driving it in the snow i got confused. im probobly gonna get my car in like a week maybe guess im gonna have to think about this. my girlfriend, mom and sister all like the 135i
I love the X6. I'm ... ( 3 months ago by RawAutos)
I love the X6. I'm just unsure of it being a wintery type of SAV. I haven't seen anything of it in the winter. I'm sure it will do just fine, I just don't know... The 135 is still, probably, the best choice in most cases. It is, at least to me, a baby ///M car. Did you see my video and blog review of it? I've test driven 2 135's to date.
yeh i saw those ... ( 3 months ago by zzzafar)
yeh i saw those videos that car has alot of power you can tell lol it is like a mini m3 and yeh i just like the way it looks. im probobly gonna get either a covertible white 135 or black one. and if not then maybe the x6 but iv decided im gonna stick with a bimmer. iv test driven an x6 and 3 series also the s5 from audi. the only car i need to test is the bmw 135 but its proboby got a smoother drive then a roadster right like the z4, porshe and slk right?
Evos there probably ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
Evos there probably is some modded Evos that can beat the 135i stock but a really well tuned 135i it wont lose and as for Civics sorry but I havent seen any Civic capable of beating this car lol. And there are 135i's doing 0-60 in 4 seconds just so you know. =)
There are a lot of ... ( 3 months ago by RawAutos)
There are a lot of Evo's that can beat stock 135's. A modded 135 will pull very hard to 4s flat. I've seen it in person. I have seen plenty of Civic's that were in the low-mid 11 second 1/4 miles. I have seen plenty cars capable of beating 135's. I love the car, and I think it's one of the best cars in the world. But, many modded and stock cars can beat it. But, I do think it is one of the performance and mod performance bargains in the world.
hmm I posted a poll ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
hmm I posted a poll with cars that will really compete with the 135i and unfortunately NO Acura or Honda came even close to being able to compete with the 135i,
the most votes went ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
the most votes went to the 1st. Porsche Cayman S 2nd.Evo X MR 3rd.G37 S
Neither a Honda or Acura have the power or performance to out run a 135i I mean your talking about a 40-50k car compared to a 17k car lol. I mean the Is-F STI Camaro SS GT500 i had a list of 10 and NO ONE has mentioned a Honda unless we laugh at them lol. If anything the ONLY Acura that can compete is a Integra Type-R nothing else but on the track
NO Acura will be ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
NO Acura will be able to outrun a 135i.. Evo X MR yea theyre a good competition it had the 2nd highest vote in the poll but still its a tight competition with any car on a real track against the 135i or M models..
A poll? Are you ... ( 3 months ago by RawAutos)
A poll? Are you serious? Really? That's crazy... Haha. I'm not saying that the 135i isn't incredible, I'm just saying don't say it's the best. Have you ever lived in FL?
A G37 S? ... ( 3 months ago by RawAutos)
A G37 S? Hahahahahaha. Have you ever driven that car? It can't even beat a damn 135i. See, here is your problem. You look at a straight line, and you still have no idea what you're talking about... On a road course and a drag strip, there are cars that will beat a 135i.
A stock Honda or Acura will not beat a damn 135. Modded ones can. A stock G37 isn't touching a 135.
That is true. But a ... ( 3 months ago by RawAutos)
That is true. But a modded Evo will give a hard time to either.
Well I part of the ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
Well I part of the largest 135i forum and ive driven any car you name practically from kia to vettes to bmw, benz, land rover, jaguar, aston martin, lexus, ferrari all kinds and yes I do know what I'm talking about.. A Honda fullly modded can run low numbers but on a real track NOT straightway they cant keep up not even close BMW is made for performance theyre handling is like no other everyone knows that..
yes a Modded Evo is ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
yes a Modded Evo is a good competition like i said the Cayman S and Evo X are the closest thing to beating a 135i.. All 3 cars are amazing, Im amazed the STI only got a few votes compared to the Cayman S and Evo X MR that got like 30+ votes. I'm not saying the 135i is the best car in the world either, yes I do know there are cars that can beat a 135i but on a closed track or course its very hard to compete with,
I mean the Z is ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
I mean the Z is also an amazing car as well, no complaints on that car whatsoever either. but I mean come on dude a Honda doesnt even come close on a real race track or course, I'm amazed Acura hasnt made a Luxury car made to really perform against pure performance cars... Yes Acura and Honda are good cars they last long and the Accord is very nice inside but performance or powerwise its not even close.
The 135i is a great ... ( 3 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
The 135i is a great performance car its just hard to find what can really compete with the BMW
The Cayman and BMW ... ( 2 months ago by rorytek)
The Cayman and BMW are both over priced and under equipped. Call it what you want, the Cayman is an upgraded boxster. The interiors are even the same. For your money, the 350 Z is best in class, and Josh has it wrong on this commentary. At least drive all the cars before making the comparison. The 135 is a four seater as well, so beside engine comparisons it doesnt fit in this class.
Josh, I know you are a blogger for BMW, but at least get the facts straight. Recheck your specs on HP and torque.
I have to agree ... ( 2 months ago by RawAutos)
I have to agree with that. I don't like the ricers, I'm just not going to NOT admit that some of them are pretty damn good cars.
You named a bunch ... ( 2 months ago by RawAutos)
You named a bunch of names that I can name. That doesn't make either one of us an expert. In a straight line I've seen Honda's run in the 9's. I'm not saying that they are any better than the 135, because they aren't. I'm just saying some cars are faster. But there is no deal like the deal you get when you buy a 135.
I will agree here. ( 2 months ago by RawAutos)
I will agree here.
Honda and Acura ... ( 2 months ago by RawAutos)
Honda and Acura just aren't made for that. My father has a 2005 Acura NSX, and that is one of the greatest cars I've ever driven. It's brilliant. It's so brilliant, in fact, that it's hard to believe that it's a Honda/Acura.
The NSX is a nice ... ( 2 months ago by SaphireJettaGuy)
The NSX is a nice car by the way! Wish there were more out there! And glad you agree with me on that part lol.
Well, what's wrong ... ( 1 month ago by HammerBros)
Well, what's wrong with this comparison is the price differences. If you are going to compare BASE models, which makes a little more sense the BMW comes in at $34,900, the Porsche $49,900 and the 350z is $27,900. To compare the top trim of the Z with the base of the others is not really a fair comparison (since the top trim of the BMW which a buddy of mine just took delivery of comes in at around $47,000)
Did you watch the ... ( 1 month ago by RawAutos)
Did you watch the video? I fully equipped each one for the test. You don't want to do BASE models simply because each "base" model comes equipped differently. If you take the top end model from each car and build it from there, you get the same options... The problem with your comparison is that you don't know why you watched the video. Plus, even if the prices were nowhere near one another, the performance of each is similar. Except for the 135 being a good bit faster.
Um. We all know ... ( 2 weeks ago by gtaday51)
Um. We all know that BMWs have rediculous pricing. I have a 135i With two options. Sport package and Cold Weather package. Thats all you need. If you buy iDrive or the premium package its a waste of money. I love my little bMw and will never give it up. Your talking about $38000 for that car. Lets be honest here...you can spend more than that on a Mustang GT. Get a 135i over everything else, you will not be disappointed.
