300 hp on a turbo 6 ... ( 9 months ago by mrcoder)
300 hp on a turbo 6? What's the extra 2 cylinders doing there, anchoring the car down? Well done BMW. Subaru makes 300 hp on a turbo 4. Oh yea, BMW "knows how to make engines." BMW FTL
a 6 cylinder engine ... ( 9 months ago by hsinhunglin)
a 6 cylinder engine is always stronger than a 4 cylinder in turn of a long drive. Trying to squeeze 300 hp out of a 4 cylinder will burden the engine in the long run.
this engine is a bi ... ( 8 months ago by sixyears)
this engine is a bi turbo it uses 2 small turbos, each turbo feed only 3 cylindes, so it has a a turbo for each half of the engine. There result is no turbo lag and it also make 300 pounds feet of torque form 1300 to 5000 rpm about. Also a in line six is the smoothest most balanced engine you can biuld. Plus the Subaru engine is a 2.5 Liter turbo so it not much of a jump in displacement about 500 cc. The bmw engine is smoother and more flexable then the subaru.
The 135 is actually ... ( 8 months ago by sixyears)
The 135 is actually at base is about 6 to 7 grand cheaper then the wrx sti and Evo 10. Ok is does not have all wheel drive, but it is just as fast and does not scream street race like the 2 others. I wish they would offer the 123d here.
I bet those german ... ( 8 months ago by wasincox)
I bet those german engineers from BMW know their stuff and have good reasons for using a six cylinder engine - reasons which you would never understand you racer wannabee. I don't think you even have a driver's license.

yea but we earn ... ( 7 months ago by meggerman)
yea but we earn more. our currency (05/08) is worth double of yours. average earnings are equivelent of $50,000 a year from both people, i.e $100,000 for a couple and this is individually taxed, so average earnings of two people are about $130,000 a year.
£30k is still a lot for a car, but bmw, audi, merc, lexus is ten a penny in the uk.
you can get the all ... ( 6 months ago by mrdauntless)
you can get the all wheel drive version 135xi
Do we even get any ... ( 6 months ago by mrdauntless)
Do we even get any Diesel BMWs
If you mean in ... ( 6 months ago by sixyears)
If you mean in north america, We will soon. The 3 liter turbo diesel will be available in the 3,5, x5 and maybe the x3 soon. But I may be a while before we get the smaller diesels which is a shame.
Also I don't think a all wheel drive 135ix is avaliable yet but there is a 335ix.
i really dont like ... ( 5 months ago by 0leg11)
i really dont like this coupe. I think that the 5 or 3 door is more practicle.
i did a testdrive ... ( 5 months ago by LooneySRM)
i did a testdrive in the 135i and i must say , i loved it! Great car , but you it's as said not as practicle..
Though it's less weighted , has good power to weight ratio and just asks to being driven!
I like also the design actually, rather then the hatch-version. The cabrio is aswell a great new design..like it alot!
